"I started The Standard Electric & Power Company after 22 years of working my way up through the electrical trades and the professional engineering world.

My career started hands-on in the construction trades. For ten years, I focused heavily on electrical work in the pool industry, tackling residential, commercial, and even marine projects. Working in the field is what actually paid my way through college to earn my Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.

After getting my degree, my career took me across the globe. I worked as a field engineer in the oil and gas industry, handling complex electrical and corrosion engineering sites worldwide. From there, I transitioned into rail transportation, working my way up the corporate ladder into major electrical design and project management.

But after more than two decades in the corporate engineering world, I knew it was time to get back to my roots, work directly with people, and start my own business right here in the community.
